FIRE AT STRATFORD
(Per Tress Association.) STRATFORD, Juno 26. A house in the borough, owned and occupied by Mrs Knudson, was partly destroyed early this morning. The lire had a good hold when the alarm was given. A strong wind was blowing and endangered the adjoining properties. The brigade made a good save, though the back portion of tho building was destroyed and the contents of the front portion ruined. The insurance on the building is £7OO and on the furniture £2OO iu the North British. Other furniture owned by a son-in-law, who also occupied the house, was covered by a small policy in the Phoenix.
