FATAL JEALOUSY
THREE MEN STABBED BRISBANE, Feb. 26. While three men were walking through a cutting between Halifax and MeNade at night, tiey were set upon by a man with a knife who evidentlly waited there. John Lawson received two severe stabs in the back and is not expected to recover. William Harries received a deep stab in the chest and died shortly after. The condition of the third man is at present unknown. Both the injured men are engine drivers. The attack is said to be due to jealousy. David Ballinghal. another engine driver, gave himself up to the police at Halifax soon afte- occurrence.
