PREVENTION OF CRUELTY
MEETING OF THE SOCIETY. A meeting of the executive of the above society was held on Monday at the society’s room, Victoria .‘.venue. Present: Messrs Gower (iu the chair), Sampson, Mrs. White. Misses Kell Drewitt and Miss Marshall and tUe secretary, Mr. E. F. Liffiton. Apologies were received from Messrs E. A. Sat** chant, T. E. Jcffcoate, E. C. Howard. Mrs. Crawford, Miss Morcton Jones and Miss Handley. The president reported that, the <* spector had been very busy this monlb in following up several cases which had come before his notice. The inspector reported details of the cases referred to. He also referred to the cifse of a dog being run over by a car and left with a broken leg. This case wm still in his hands. The meeting then adjourned.
