An Auckland Press Association message reports the death of Mr E. W. Burton, S.M., of that city. Mr A. G. Bignell returned to Wan-j ganui yesterday morning after ing a brief visit to Auckland. ’ A Toronto message received at Ottawa says that Mr Hartley Dewart, a lawyer, former leader of the Ontario Liberals, is dead. The Hon. Brimsley Plnnket. ten of the late Lord Plunket, formerly Governor of New Zealand, left Auckland by the Rimutaka for England. He has been residing in Canterbury for some time. Mr. Martin Healey, aged T 7 died suddenly of heart trouble at Blenheim yesterday. He had been in business as a bootmaker in Blenheim for fifty-two years. Ho had been a borough councillor, a member of the school committee, and sat on other bodies. He was one of the oldest Freemasons in Marlborough.
