Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated June 27, 1924: — Quotations ex store: —New Zealand prime Canterbury lamb, 28/42’s, 10|d; North Island lamb, 28/42’s, 10|d; prime Canterbury mutton, 56/64’s, 7d; North Island mutton, 56/64’s, 6fd; ewes, 48/64’s, 5Jd; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/220’s, hinds, none offering, fores, none offering. As compared with last week’s quotations North Island mutton is »d cheaper. The market for lamb is firm, but quiet, and mutton is also quiet, with little inquiry.
