ANOTHER GREEK CRISIS
MILITARY DICTATORSHIP THREATENED BRITISH FLEET SURPRISED Received June 28, 5.30 p.m. LONDON, June 28. A message from Athens states that a British fleet, under Admiral Sir Osmond de Beauvoir Brock, on arriving there for the purpose of signifying resumption of normal relations, found a crisis in the Greek Army and Navy, the officers of which have been demonstrating against the Minister of Marine on the ground of favouritism in appointments. Many have been sent to prison. Consequently the reception of the British lacked the expected felicitations. A Government crisis is developing, and a military dictatorship threatened.
