SUICIDE. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 27. Lawrence Wyatt, aged 19, formerly employed on a farm at Omaliu, who was in hospital here for heart trouble caused by acute rheumatism, was found at three o ’clock this morning dead, having cut his throat with a razor. He had not given any evidence of a suicidal tendency, and despite his infirmity was generally of a cheerful disposition. BODY IDENTIFIED. PALMERSTON N., June 27. The body of the man who was found in the Manawatu River at Foxton yesterday has. been identified as that of Ernest Stuart Mcßean, aged 34, a, school teacher, who resided at Palmerston North. DEATH FROM INJURIES. PALMERSTON N., June 27. At the inquest into the death of Thomas Lowe Fenton, who Jied from injuries sustained when knocked down by a motor-cut on Wednesday, evidence was given that the car was being driven very slowly, and that the night w'as exceptionally dark. The coroner said the car, being driven with every care, no blame was attachable to tho driver. A verdict was returned that deceased died from shock and haemorrhage caused by injuries sustained by being knocked down by a motor-car-SEVERELY BURNED. GISBORNE, Juno ?7. Alfred Scott, a station hand at Hangaroa, whilst adjusting a gas generating plant, struck, a match. He became suddenly enveloped in flames, was severely burned, and was admitted to tho Hospital. A TAXI CAR FATALITY. HAMILTON, June 27. At the inquest concerning the death of *the vouth Maurice Enoch Ansell, who was killed, on May 6 through being knocked from a bicycle by a taxi driven by Joseph Balle. a verdict of accidental death was returned. The Coroner added that the fatality was due either to the excessive speed of Balle’s car or to Balle not having kept a proper look-iut. Alternately, if he had seen the boy he lead failed to use ordinary care by reducing speed, and Veering to the left.
