FIRE IN WELLINGTON
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 26. An outbreak of fire occurred in an eight-roomed building in Upper Willis Street, occupied by Wah Chong, laundryman, and F. H. Young, and Co., fruiterers, at 6.25 o’clock this morning. The building was owned by the Arthur Estate, and was insured for £lOOO in the United Office. The contents of the laundry, which was badly damaged, were insured for £215 in the New Zealand Co., and the contents of the fruiterer’s for £BOO in the same office.
.Ernest Yen, aged 30, jumped from a window, escaping from the burning building. Ho sustained a broken thigh and was removed to hospital.
