THE TECHNICAL COLLEGE MEMORIAL HALL
MEETING OF OLD STUDENTS. An enthusiastic meeting of old students of the College was hold in the College Library on Tuesday evening, to discuss what share the old students should take in the forthcoming Grand Bazaar. Mr I. E. Newton presided, and there was a representative gathering of ladies and gentlemen. It was explained by the chairman that the staff and pupils of the College had decided to hold a Grand Bazaar in September next, the object being to augment the funds already raised for the purpose of building a Memorial Assembly Hall. A sum of over £BOO is in hand, and the object is to raise a further £5OO towards the total required. On the motion of Mr S. P. Earles, it was decided to open in the first instance a subscription list amongst old students. To advance this object and to consider what further activities could be undertaken, the following provisional committee was appointed, to report within three weeks:—Messrs S. P. Earles (convenor), W. H. Ward, R. I. Sewell, H. F. Dyke, C. R. Harkness; Misses H. Drayton, J. McLachlan; E. Brown, and N. McNaught.
