Carawock won many friends by his finishing so near after bumping heavily at the six furlongs. Giggle’s two smart wins were regarded as proving the youngster both fast and possessing good staying powers. Farceur’s victory redeemed his popularity, which had somewhat waned owing to his narrow miss on the first day.
