K ACQUISITIONS BY A.P.A. The Australian Provincial Assurance Association Ltd., which recently purchased the Co-operative Assurance Co.’: business, yielding some £40,000 a year in Life and Personal Accident business, has now completed the purchase of the Life Assurance Coy. of Australia’s Life and Personal Accident business, producing approximately £140,000 yearly. The acquisition of these twe companies is a most forward step and will give great satisfaction to share holders and policy-holders alike. The giant strides made by this vigor ous and progressive institution have been made the subject of much favourable comment. The record of the Aus tralian Provincial Assurance Associa tion Ltd., stands out most prominently as one of the marvels of Modern Insur ance. Its potentialities, judged by its vigorous growth, will compel older companies to look to their laurels if this well-known company is not to surpass them in the vigour of its growth ind its hold on the confidence of the public.*
