Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the sth inst.:—
“Butter.—Market steady at present prices. We quote: New Zealand salted, 168 s (168 s New Zealand exceptional brands, 172 s (170); Danish, 182 s (184 s Finest Australian salted, 160 s (158 s unsalted, 166 s (1625). “Cheese—Market steady but nothing doing. New Zealand white, 87s (82s to 83s); coloured, 86s (82s to 83s); Canadian c.i.f. quotation, 87s (80s).” Last week’s quotations given in parentheses.
