ELECTION IN AUTUMN BRITISH GOVERNMENT’S INTENTIONS Received June 8, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, June 6. The Daily Express lobbyist states: Leading Ministers have decided that the Government shall go to the country in the autumn, immediately after the midsummer recess, which will be largely devoted to campaigning. The Government will seeK an issue whereon to fight, pressing forward an elaboration of the unemployment policy and the housing scheme, hoping that these will win the electors’ confidence. The Liberals are already campaigning, preparing for an autumn election. The Conservatives arc also planning a campiagn under Mr Baldwin.
