EFFECT IN NEW SOUTH WALKS. SYDNEY, May 5 Mr. Warne, Minister of Lands, stated that the action of the British Government in turning down preference for Australian products, nau considerably hampered the carrying out of the immigration agreement with the Imperial authorities, as preference had been one of the vital clauses of the compact. Dr. Earle Page said that new avenues will hav£ to be found for the distribution of surplus products.
