Pearce (chairman), Arnold, Willis, Marchant, Allpress, Jensen, Gilberd. The proceedinges were brief, and of a routine nature. At the close of the meeting the chairman (Commissioner C. Pearce) said he wished to take the opportunity to thank the other commissioners for the courtesy that had always been extended to him, and he commented upon the expeditious way the board’s business had always been transacted. Proceeding, the chairman said they had to thank the board's engineer, Mr. J. Ramsay, for the efficient way he had carried out his duties. He had pushed the work ahead in a most satisfactory manner. The chairman next thanked Superintendent A. H. Rogers for his work in the district’s interests in charge of the Fire Brigade, and said that the high standard of efficiency that the brigade had reached was very creditable to the superintendent. For the board’s clerk (Mr. F. Bourne) the chairman had particularly warm thanks. He said Mr. Bourne had been with them for 17 years, and had they gone on another 17 years they would like to have retained him, as he was one of the best men in New Zealand, and with the ability to fill a position in any of the cities. The chairman also added his appreciation of the members of the staff under Mr. Ramsay, and thanked Mr. T. Anderson for his splendid services as custodian of the Gonville baths. It was decided by resolution to forward appreciative letters, signed by the chairman and all the commissioners, to the board’s officials, also Superintendent Rogers.
