KELLERMAN CUP RACES At the meeting of the New Zealand Swimming Council, at Christchurch, on Friday evening, it was decided, in respect to the annual open water race for the Annette Kellerman Cup that in future the event be handicapped by a handicapper appointed by the council. The rule relating to the New Zealand championship meeting was altered to provide that the cost of medals should be a first charge against the meeting, and that profits from meetings should be divided in the proportion of 75 per cent, to the controlling centre and 25 per cent, to the council. For intermediate boys a 440 yards championship was substituted for the present 880 yards championship, and for intermediate girls a 220 yards championship was substituted for the present 75 yards championship. A new rule constituting the Taranaki Centre was adopted, and the boundaries of the centre defined, and the rule defining the boundaries of the Wanganui Centre was amended to correspond with the boundaries of the Taranaki Centre. A number of formal amendments to the registered rules were also adopted. Mr P. Coira (Wellington) was appointed handicapper for the Annette Kellerman Cup race.
