This picture is a version of the popular novel by Edison Marshall. The second feature is a rippling six-act comedy entitled “Alias Julius Caesar,” starring Charles Bay and Barbara Bedford. This picture is farce comedy from start to finish. The story deals with a practical joke on Ray, who has his clothes stolen whilst he is taking a bath, by his pals. They ring up the police and tell them that a lunatic has escaped and is roaming on the road in a car and fancies that he is “Julius Caesar.” Complications then commence, and the audience are treated to the laugh of their lives ae the awkward situations that arise as the picture progresses. The supports include a two-reel Century comedy and the International News. To-morrow another Fox attraction will feature William Bussell in “Times Have Changed,” and Al St. John in “The Author.” The plan for reserved seats is open all day at Rowell’s bookshop, next Warnock’s. BAND CONCERT AT WANGANUI EAST. The Queen Alexandra Band will give a municipal concert in the- Recreation Grounds, commencing at 3 o’clock, next Sunday afternoon. Fuller details will appear later.
