WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
INTERESTING RESOLUTIONS. Received May 16, 8. 55 p.m. ROME, May 15. The Women’s International Congress adopted a resolution that the number of children should be proportionate to the economic capacity of parents, also that marriage should not change women's nationality. Husband and wife should have the right of the free enjoyment of their respective earnings and incomes. A wife should also share her husband’s Income, and a husband should share his wife's income. When able to earn a living, if a husband refused to pay his wife a share of his income, courts should order payment to the wife direct. The Congress asked for legislation in all countries guaranteeing the economic independence of all married women. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
