WANGANUI COMPETITIONS SOCIETY.
ALTERATION OF RULES. A meeting oftinembers of the Wanganui Competitions Society was held last evening. Mr C. Warden presided. Mr C. S. Brown moved to alter rule 13 in order that the annual meeting shall be held in April this year instead of August, and In the month of February in following years. The alteration was agreed to. Mr F. C. Atkinson moved the alteration of rule 7 in the direction of making ten the number of the executive who shall elect their own chairman. Mr Atkinson explained that the reason was to free the president and vice-presidents (who shall be exofficio members) from the routine of committee work. While not opposing the motion Mr C. S. Brown thought it would create an anomalous position. The motion was carried, two members dissenting. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on April 12th.
