GERMAN REPARATION.
DEMANDS BY THE ALLIES. BERLIN, March 29. Herr Wirth, in the Reichstag, denounced the demands of the Reparation Commission. The Allies’ demand for a further sixty milliards of fresh taxation is an impossible condition. Germany is a parliamentary country and cannot impose such burdens on the people without consulting them. It is not possible to raise a fraction of sixty milliards. It is scarcely possible to raise another Sixty millions. It seems there is an idea abroad that Germany is extravagant, but she is doing everything to restrain expenditure. The stabilisation of the mark is impossible without an international loan and the revision of the Versailles Treaty.
