THE NOB DEN CL P The match between Taranaki and Foildmg for the Norden Cup (’hockey) will be played on the Marton Park on Saturday afternoon next, starting at 3 o’clock sharp. As a curtain-raiser the Marton ladies will play the Halcombe ladies, a start being made at about 1.30 p.m. The Cup match should prove very interesting, as both Unions will be represented by their best players. A charge of one shilling will be made for gentlemen and 6d for ladies, and the Marton Municipal Band will render a number of selections in the Park. In the. evening the teams will be entertained at a smokp concert in the Druids’ Hall at 8 o’clock. GENERAL NEWS. The late Alexander Murdoch, aged 33, who was killed at Mangaoho hydroylectric works on Wednesday through fra explosion of gelignite, was a brother of Airs Purcell, of Marton Junction.
