ECHO OF THE 1917 STRIKE.
BAD FEELING RESULTS IN FIGHTS. Received Nov. 4. 10.10 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 4. Baz . feeling which since the 1917 existed between Sydney and lhe Port Jackson coal lumpers culminated in several lights, wherein a number were injured. The former union was the original body which deregistered as a result of the strike, and the Port Jackson union embraces returned soldiers and loyalists who worked during the strike. These latter claim that the trouble is lhe outcome of a scheme to displace loyalists. The police restored peace and arrested five.
