The wages and conditions of work in certain branches of the printing trade were under consideration by the Aroitration Court in a dispute between the New Zealand Federated Typographical Association and various employers in the trade. The chief points in dispute are tho rates of piecework for machines, general conditions as to piecework, and weekly wages for machine and handwork. The claims for piecework for machines are for a maximum rate of 51 d per 1000 ens solid up to six point, sjd up to 8 points, s|d up to 9 points, and 6d up to 10 points.
