| Air Jchn Edmond has forwarded a i cheque tor £2OOO to the Registrar oi | Otago University for the purpose of establishing a chemical research scholarship in connection with New Zealand industries. In a letter accompanying it, iAlr Edmond states that this amount, ■ v. ith Government subsidy, ought to produce income sufficient to provide a scholarship of an annual value of £2OO and stili leave something to provide lor material necessary to the research scholar. Ihe tenure of the. scholarship is for two years, and will be known as the John Edmond Scholarship
