YACHTING.
THE NORTHCOTE CUP. Received January 31, 1.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 31. After a lapse of ‘five years the Northcote Cup champion yachting event was revived. Victoria was represented by the yachts The Rip and Killara, and New South M ales by the Awanui. After a close contest throughout The Rip won the first race by two seconds from the Awanui, with the Killara four minutes behind. The second race takes place to-morrow.
