THE WELFARE LEAGUE.

To the Editor,

Sir, —The "Welfare League" is spending money for Mr Veitch. Whose money? What is the "Welfare League?' Who are its members. After reading the League's advertisement in the "Chronicle" this morning I spent some time in trying to discover somebody who knew something about the League in Wanganui. As the result of diligent inquiry I have been able to find only one member of the "Welfare League" in Wanganuj, Mr Aitken's esteemed friend, Mr } Hope Gibbons.—l am, etc., BE CONSISTENT. December 5, 1919.
