LTD., STOCK REPORT,

Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., report:—At our usual fortnightly sale at Raetihi on 21st nit. we yarded 1500 sheep and over 200 cattle. Sheep sold up to late* values while cattle were still a little hard to quit. The vendors, however, met tha market, and we report quitting the larger portion before the day closed. We quote:—Ewes with lambs at foot 31/6, mixed woolly hoggets 29/6, small hoggets 24/9. Cattle.—2-yeav steers £8/2/6, ISmonth steers £6/7/6, yearling to 15----month steers £4/2/6 to £5/2/-, better sorts 5/3/6 to £5/7/-, 15-nnnth heifer-s up to £6/2/6, 3-year steers £12/10/-, cows £5/17/6 to £6/10/-, bulls £8 to £13/13/-.

At Wanganui sale on the 26th ult. we yarded 700 head cattle, 3100 sheep, and 35- pigs. Competition in most lines was not keen, although the larger portion of the entry changed hands.

At Waverley sale, on the 28th ult. a large yarding of cattle came forward. There was very little competition for cattle, which sold at reduced i-ates.

At Wanganui.—-Prime heavy fat cows £14/17/6, others £11/2/6 to ■£13, forward cows £8 to £8/18/6, empty 2-year heifers £5 to £7/5/-, *2y 2 -year steers £7/15/- to £8/6/, 2year P.A. steers £8, 2-year steers ££6/10/- to £7, yearling steers £4 to £5/4/-, bulls £5 to £12/5/-. Sheep —Good woolly hoggets 30/6 to 31/6, iredium do. 26/9, shorn 2-tooths 24/6 to 25/3, prime shorn ewes 33/-, lighter do. 29/6, fat shorn wethei'3" (light) 34/-, store ewes (shorn) 22/6. Pigs.-^-Choppers £4 17/6 to £5/4/-, porkers £3/3/- to £3/16/-, small stores £2/1/- to £2 4/-.
