WANGANUI MALE CHOIR

OPERA HOUSE

TO-MORROW NIGHT

The Wanganui Male Choir will give its third concert of the season at the Opera House to-morrow night. The Choir's popularity is gaining with every concert, and we have no doubt the public will again come along in large numbers. The choral items are very fine, and'are sure to meet with a good reception. Assisting the choir will be the Hawera Male Choir, and the friendly rivalry of the two combinations can only result in benefit to both. Mrs Johns, contralto, of Wellington, will sing "Morning," and "Soul cf Mine." Mrs Johns has made a name for herself in Wellington, and her many Wanganui friends are looking forward with pleasurs to her visit. Mr G. Austin Blackie is a tenor with a growing reputation in the musical circles of the Dominion, and we are quite sure that this reputation will be enhanced as a result of his effort on Wednesday. The Wanganui Male Choir quartette (Messrs Wadman, Couch, Brass and Hebditch) will sing the quartette "Good Night, Beloved." Mr Walter Shepley, who pluckily came forward to assist the choir owing to the regretted illness of Mr Geo. Buckley, will act as conductor, whilst the accompaniments will be in the capable hands of Miss Ethel Bignell, L.A.B. The box plan is now open at H. I. Jones', and the public will be well advised to make sure of their seats by booking.
