Dr. MacLaurin, Chief Inspector 6f Explosives, has circularised local bodies, setting forth that precautions should be used to prevent fires and accidents in the course of the fireworks displays likely to take place during the Peace celebrations. Dr. "MacLaurin recommends that displays should take place in open spaces, away from buildings, that crowds should be kept at a safe distance, and that rockets should be set at such an angle that the burning sticks, in falling, will do no harm.
