Later, in the West she marries a prominent business man without revealing the story of her past After a while his business brings him back to the town wlwro she Jiarl been imprisoned, nnd there she lives in hourly dread of recognition by the police. Eventuaily/tliis occurs, and she is compelled to make a full confession to her hitherto unsuspecting husband.
