There are good prospects of the Randwiok meeting starting on Saturday. Interest has intensified during the delay. Most of the horses have been kept in steady exercise. Though the fields will be smaller than if the races had been held on the original dates, owing to the absence of some inter-state performers, a good meeting is anticipated. There has been considerable rain, lately, but the tracks are in excellent condition.
Amongst the latest gallops Biplane did a circuit, the last 5 furlongs taking 1.4. Snub did steady work. Kennequhar,. Poitrel, Phast Boy, Cetigne, Publican, Lanius and Booster were among the prominent gallops.
Nightwatch's win at Williamstown has enhanced his position in Sydney Cup favour.
ADELAIDE, May 12
