SECRETARIAL APPOINTMENTS.

WELLINGTON, May 12.

Mr. A. F. Lowe, clerk to the House of Representatives, has been appointed Clerk of Parliament, to succeed Mr. Leonard Stowe. F. W. Farley, one of the private secretaries on the staff of the Prime Minister, is to fill the position of secretary to the Executive Council and to the Cabinet until Mr. Massey returns, when a permanent appointment will be made.
