What is promised as easily the most extensive and expensive venture in comic cpera productionb to travel .New Zealand at any time, may be expsct«d in the coming visit of the J. O. Williamson's ever-papular Hoyal Couiic Opera Company, on the 26th and 27 Lh insts. It is emphatically stated that iiever before in the annais of theatrical enterprise in the Dominion has a com'c opera company so equipped and so environ^ appeared in this city. Each of the productions, we understand, will be presented in every detail —scenery, costumes, properties, and effects exactly as obtained at Her Majesty's Theatre, Sydney. The company now numbers some 150 members. The plays to he submitted during the season are " Maytime/' an exceptionally beautiful musical comedy, gorgeously costumed, and "Oh! Oh! Delphine!" The box plans will be opened at H. 1. Jones and Son's on Frieday, the 23rd inst.
