ANGLICAN SYNOD.

The Anglican General Synod was oontinud to-day. The Primate, owing to strain of synod business, leaves tor Dunedin to-morrow morning (Thursday). The Bishop of Nelson was enthusiastically received on his leturn from the front. The Primate renounced that the Ardhbisihop ot Canterbury had conferred on the Bishop of Nelson the honorary degree or D.D.
A scheme for the formation of a new diocese in Taranaki was heartily approved. The committee on the pnroacy question recommended a fixed primacy at Wellington. The Bishop of Nelson leaves for his home to-morrow morning.
