At the Addington market there •vere small yardings of stock and a limited attendance on. account o£ the .holidays. There was a poor demand for store sheep, especially for inferior sorts. Chatham islands was well represented in both fat and store sheep sections, and fat wethers from there brought good prices. The stove cattle pens were almost empty. Pigs met with inocierate demand. Store sheep: Two tooth ewes 21s 93d to 31s 6d, 4 and 6 tooth ewes 3 (5s 6d to 22s 7d, 2 tooth wethers 17s Id to 21s 10d, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 22s 3d to 25s 7d, 4 and 6 tooth wethers 22s 9d to 25s 6d, 6 and 8 tooth wethers 24s Sd, medium mixed sex lambs lls to 15s sd, smaller lambs 5s 9d to 10s 6d, wether lambs 11s 6d bo 13s Bd. Fat sheep: Extra prime wethers 54s 6d, prime wethers 33s to 395, lighter wethers 25s 6d to 32s 6d, unlinished wethers 21s to 245, extra prime ewes 4 2s, prime ewes 30s to 32s 4d, medium ewes 25s to 29s 6d, lighter ewes 17s 3d to 24s 6d. Fat lambs: Extra prime lambs to 31s, prime lambs 26s to 295, medium lambs 23s to 25s 6d, lighter lambs 18s to 22s 6d.

Fat cattle: Prime steers £14 2s 6d to £20 15s 6d, ordinary steers £8 2s Gd to £12, prime heifers £11 15s to £15, prime cows £9 7s 6d to £13 17s Gd, ordinary cows £6 15s to £S 10s, dairy cows £7 to £16 15s. Pigs: Choppers £5 to £9, baconers £4 10s to £7 ISs (equal to 9*4 d per 1b), porkers £2 10s to £4 5s (equal to 10% dto 10y 2 d per lb), best stores £2 10s to £2 17s, medium £2 2s to £2 ss, small 16s to 20s, weaners 9s Cd to 14s.
