Chaplwnin-Caqt. Blamires was greeted by a large audience at Fordell last flight, when he gave his lantern lecture "With the N.Z. Mounteds in Egypt and Palestine." Beginning with views of Cairo, the lecturer described very interestingly the country in which the New Zealand troops operated from 1916 to 1918. Several pictures gave a good id«a of the appearance and customs of the native peoples, while others represente-1 the work of the troops, and al.«o the exceptional difficulties under which much of the work was carried out. At the conclusion of a very, successful lecture the appreciation of the audience was expressed by Mr C-cwvis The picture? will be repeated in Wanganui oil Anzac ])ay for the benefit of the Returned Soldiers' Association, and, apart from the object for which it will be given, the lecture well merits the compliment of a large audience.
