EASTER TOURNEY.

The tournament was continued again j yesterday (Tuesday), when all events j were finished except the Men's Championship Doubles anwd the Ladies' Handicap Singles, Messrs Lampe and Walker play ott'J with Messrs Lane and Wagstaff in the former, whilst Mrs Davies and Mi.ss Hodge play off in the semi-iinal in the j jatter, and the winner plays Miss 0. Davey in the final. Some splendid matches eventuated in tile semi-finals and finals yesterday. Mrs Davies and Miss Hodge winning the final for the ladies' championship doubles from Miss Swan and Mrs Pearee 6—2, 4—6, B—b", after a, keen and exciting struggle. Lampe and Miss Swan beat Pownail and Miss Wells 6 —5, 6 —5, in a very close match. Miss Hqdge had an easy win in the final for the ladies' championship singles, 6 —2, 6-^-1. Lane and Miss Hodge won by 4 points against Lampe and Miss Swan for the combined handicap doubles. McDonald (a new player) proved himself a good trier, having got through a big field and won the men's handicap singles against Barkman by 7 points. The committee wish to specially thank Mrs Sheldon and also all local and visiting players who kindly acted as umpires so willingly. Following are additional -results: — LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES.
