P..West, railway traffic man? ager Invercargill, has been transferred bo Wanganui. . _ Lieut. R. O. Montgomeries, R.A.F. (Wanganui), has returned to England from Egypt and Palestine. , S S M. C. B. Burdekin, who is on the l>A.A.G.'s staff at Headquarters m London, has been promoted second^heut6Lieut. A. E. Cheal, R.A.F. (Wanganui) has been transferred to the Genera] List of the*, War Offioe with the rank of captain. ' Mr. A'. C. Turnbull, Inspector of the Lands and Survey Department, has been appointed secretary to the Public Service Commission.
