The city is singularly quiet on the eve of the first sitting of the Republican Parliament. The public ara eagerly waiting to learn whether Tuesday's proceedings will be coui' paratively harmless or provocative. The Government is prepared, for either event. The Sinn Fein assembly stood while the declai^ation of independence was read announcing aii Irish Republic, and demanding that the British garrison evacuate Ireland.
