GALLIPOLI GRAVES.

IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS

(United Service.) Received January 22, 9.30 p.m LONDON, January 21

Mr. Peacock telegraphs that he spent several days at Anzac and saw many remain, especially on Hill 60-, which were never buried. Officers and men feel that these should be immediately gathered up and interred. New Zaalanders have already done much marking of isolated graves. following scheme drawn up"*is generally endorsed here: The whole battlefield, of 3000 to 4000 acres, which is valueless for production, should be secured and enclosed and consecrated as an everlasting memorial; trenches and hospital sites and distinctive features preserved and reconstructed; cemeteries cleaned up; uniform stones placed on each grave; outlying graves to remain undisturbed; exposed remains should be gathered within sectors, where regimental monuments should be erected, showing the names of the dead; an Aus-tralian-New Zealand trust should be created, charged with the maintenance of the battlefield, and appointing permanent caretakers, the Dominions sharing the cost. > .
