ARRANGEMENTS FOR COURT-

MARTIAL

Information has been received that the court-martial which has been appointed to iry Lieut. Crampton in con-neo-iou with "matters pertaining to the Detention Barracks at Wangauui, will sit at Wanganui on. !he 29th inst. It is understood that the. court will consult of tin following officers :— Lieut.-Col. Colquhoun. N.Z.E.F. (pre siden't), Major F. G. Hume, R.N.Z.A., Major C. E. Macksej, N.Z.E.F., Majuz C. H«ity, Q.A.M.R;, Major W. G. Askwith. 6th M.X.. Major D. W. Talbot, Captain R. C. Smith, unattached list B. Captain P. E. Baldwin will be judge (advocate.

It is understood that eleven chargeA will be preferred against Lieut. Crampton, ail based on Section 37 of the Army Act. Charge Np. 1 alleges that Lieu.. Crampton ill-treaited a soldier, Pte. B;>.rry Wilson, by grabbing liiin by the lack of the neck. Charge No. 2 alleges that h G permitted the staff to i'l-trefut Private H. Wilson by compelling him to do pack-drill. The third charge alleges that he struck a soldier, Pte. W. B. Dpnovan, with a walkingstick whilo doing pa-ck drill. Th<a fourth charge alleges that t© perniitted unnecessary force no be used by the staff on Private W. B. Donovan during pack drill. In the fifth charge Lieut.
