CENTENARIAN'S DEATH.
MRS. JOHN VILE, SENR
PAHIATUA, October 29. Mrs John Vile, sen., aged one hundred years, who arrived in Wellington in the ship Anne Wilson, in 1856, died at Pabiatua yesterday. Mrs John Vik celebrated 'icr hundredth birthday last May. She was v pioneer the "Wairarapa bush district, and bad a very interesting career. She lived under six British Sovereigns, and resided here for many years.
