The Ladies' Auxiliary Navy League new room, above Mrs Wotton's lielgian and Servian rooms, will be open every Tuesday. Mrs Wotton has received a long and interesting letter from Miss Dormer 'Maunder, dated August 27th, acknowledging four cases which arrived at Malo-ies-Dunkerque on Aug. 25th, including 195 ambulance rugs which were sent irom the depot, Wanganui, in May last. Miss Maunder says :" It was a welcome help to us, as 1 am able to send them straight out. The warm clotliing for the c-nildren, and t-ne warm bed-spreads, will be doubly welcome for tiie coming winter. The climate oil Flanders will live for ever in the memory of those who survive it. l could not help admiringly calling the attention of several omcers-Belge to the beaiitiful gifts from you ail, speaking as it does of such labour'of love and sympathy, and which helps to strengthen and encourage one to go on.. There are days when one's courage feels to fall away, . then the real grit and British determination come to help." The following have just been packed at the depot:—s4 surgical towels, 8 women's nightdresses, 38 children's nightdresses, 7 bedspreads, 11 suits or pyjamas, 2 ward coats,' 2 tins biscuits, 14 pairs mitts, 2 pairs socks, 2 kn. caps, 1 kn. vest. 2 pairs slippers, 3 pairs bed socks, 7 knitted petticoats, 7 princess ditto, 11 knitted infants' vests, 1 set infant's clothing, 1 set boy's clothing, 25 girls' dresses, 33 pairs; gir]s',-bloomers, 10.knitted bonnets, 3 baby jackets, 14 children's warm coAts, 11 pairs booties. 12 pairs children's gloves, 2 packets old linen, 2 women's coats, 1 dressing gown, 9 treasure bags, 6 cushions.
