PROTEST AGAINST WASTE.
The local Efficiency-Trustees have resolved to protest to the National Effiicency .board against the loss of efficiency and waste of time involved in trying desertion cases by Court-mar-tials _ instead of in the Civil Courts, as provided in the Military Service Act, 1915.
It was also resolved to protest against the calling up of Alexander McTaggart, soil expert and lecturer cf the Agricultural Department, by a Mil- , itary Service Board.
