Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:-— Ai Palmerston North Cattle Fair i on Thursday about 3000 cattle came ' iorward, our offering comprising over 1300 head and a few ppns Oj skeep. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers and farmers present, from all parts. Grown steers were hard to quit, but there was.a good de--mand for well-bred female and young « stock. • Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston :North, report having held their annual Cattle Fair on Thursday last. The yarding comprised 1033 head of various classes, and while competition was good for all young cattle, especially steers, grown cattle failed to reach vendor's reserves, and a number of pens were turned out unsold. A fair yarding of sheep also came to hand, which sold as follows • Ewes and lambs 27« lOd; hoggets 37s Bd.
