HOLLAND AND THE ENTENTE.
BRITAIN'S FIRM ATTITUDE.

LONDON, October 27
Sir Walter Townley, British Minister at The Hague, declares that Dutch returns regarding the transit of sand and gravel are unreliable. The British embargo on telegrams to Holland will not. be abolished till the taffic is stopped. The British Government has no thought of submitting the dispute to arbitration. The statement is also made that America will not send food to Hoi-' land until the Entente's demands are satisfied.
