Received Octooer 28th, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, October 27. Mr Gibbs states : The majority of the four hundrci who garrisoned PolderHock Chateau wore killed or prisonered. Those in dugouts in Gheluvelt Wood hedl out after we passed, constituting a temporary menace. A very iierce tattle raged near" the centre of the attack, we obtaining a sharply contested- grip of Bellevue Slopes. 'line Canadians played a honourable part in the battle.
