LONDON, Oct. 9. , A French communique states :In Belgium, in conjunction with the British \ve attacked at 8.30 this morning the German positions south of the Forest ot Southulst, between Draibank and Weigdendreft. The fighting is conltmumg, and is developing in out favour.
A German official message states : The ■British attacked this morning astride the Staden-Boesinghe railway, and northward of the Ypres-Menin road, lighting is progressing.
