LONDON, September 2
There was very lively reciprocal artillery fire at night on the Aisne front. Our fire completely sniashe:! another enemy attack on the positions we captured on August 31st north-west of 'Hurtebise. The attackers were unable to reach our iline::. French communique.—There has been considerable artillery fire at Hurtebise, in the direction of Maison |de Champagne, and in Verdun sectors (at Hill 304, Samogneux and Beaumont).
