FLOODS IN RANGITIKEI.
DAMAGE AT BULLS.
PROTECTIVE WORks DAMAGED.
There have been several floods in the Rangitikei River during the past month, and in reporting about the matter to the Rangitikei County, Council, Mr. A. Thorns, Road Inspector, states that at Bulls the main current struck the protective -works jnst above the bridge, and secured out a very deep channel. This caused the old work to subside several feet for about two chains. Immediate steps were taken to have the work repaired, the cost being about £25. Mr. Amon also put in a number of willow and macrocarpa trees along the bank at Scott's, which will assist to protect the bank.
